Making A Purchase Purchasing balloons online could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue and make your choice from our wide selection. After adding your selection to the shopping cart. If sending a balloon gift you will be asked to select your delivery date and add personal messages for the card to accompany your gift. You can then confirm your purchase and continue shopping or proceed straight to the checkout.

Complete the details required on the order form, add details for any personalised balloons (inflated gifts) and leave us to do the rest. It's that easy!

We accept Mastercard, Visa, Solo, Switch, Maestro and Visa Delta or if you wish you may make your payment by cheque payable to SM Promotions. Our entire shop is on a secure server but if you have any concerns about credit card security over the internet we will be happy to process your payment over the telephone, by fax or mail.

Our prices are all in pound sterling.

If you wish to pay by cheque please ensure it is posted 10 ten days prior to your required delivery date as no responsibility is accepted for delays caused by non-clearance of funds by cheque or credit card.

We reserve the right to replace any balloon or gift with another one of equal or greater value suitable to your chosen occasion if they are out of stock or unavailable.

By submitting an order the customer accepts the terms and conditions of Best Balloons and authorises us to take payment for the product(s) selected.

Shipping And Handling All prices for balloon gifts are fully inclusive of packaging, handling and delivery charges.

UK postal deliveries are sent by Royal Mail. Gifts despatched on a Friday, if sent to a residential address, have a 98% chance of being delivered on a Saturday. However, the remaining 2% will not be delivered until Monday morning. We therefore recommend that gifts required for a Saturday are despatched on a Thursday.

Please ensure that all addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses given to us are correct as Best Balloons cannot be responsible for delivery problems arising due to incorrect information supplied by our customers.

All orders must be received by 4pm GMT on the previous day to your required delivery date with the exception of Monday deliveries which are required by 6.00 pm GMT on the preceeding Friday.

It should be noted that where the Royal Mails Special Delivery service is used, a signature is required by the individual receiving the gift. Where the Royal Mail had attempted a delivery, and the recipient is not there to receive the package, a card will be left notifying them of the delivery attempt. Should this situation arise and due to the nature of the contents of the package, Best Balloons cannot be held responsible for the condition of the goods when they are eventually collected.

Goods purchased from our balloon and party shop do not include delivery and will be sent 1st class, special delivery or by courier as requested by you and charged accordingly.

Delivery Schedule INFLATED BALLOON GIFTS

Our balloon deliveries are sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery - which is a next working day delivery - by 1pm Monday to Friday. Orders received before 3pm can be despatched that day for next working day however orders can be placed in advance. There are no collections on a Saturday so orders for a Monday delivery must be placed before 3pm on the proceeding Friday. Sometimes Royal Mail will attempt to deliver on a Saturday. We cannot accept responsability for this however we do clearly mark the box with the requested delivery date. There are no collections or deliveries on a Sunday or bank holiday. All orders received after the cut off times will be despatched on the next working day.

If no-one is available to sign for the gift then Royal Mail will leave a card advising of the attempted delivery. This card gives a phone number and clear instructions on how to get the balloon re-delivered or where the balloon can be picked up from - this will be their local Royal Mail sorting office.

Consistently well over 90% of our despatches arrive on the date requested. If for some reason a delivery attempt has not been made on the chosen day you will be entitled to a £5 refund for the postage costs. We are unable to offer full refunds on late items. If the gift arrives damaged then please return the item, including the packaging, to us. You will be refunded for the return postage and the cost in full.

Time allowing we will despatch balloons to Scotland a day early to avoid disappointment but some remote areas may take longer. The remote postcode areas are listed below:

NO REFUNDS can be offered for deliveries which are delayed beyond our immediate control. Should the gift arrive in a damaged condition we will refund your payment in full on receipt of the returned item as both us and Royal Mail will require evidence of the damaged goods. We cannot accept responsability for late deliveries due to adverse weather conditions, local holidays or industrial action which could hinder the transportation of the goods and no refunds can be given.

We cannot be held responsible for any items once the parcel has been delivered and signed for at the address specified by the customer. Refunds or vouchers cannot be given if the goods are not passed on to the named recipient.

In the unlikely event that Best Balloons are unable to process your order or meet your desired delivery date, we will in the first instance contact you by e-mail for orders originating from this web site.

E-mail addresses and phone numbers are requested so we can contact you if there is a problem. Please ensure the information you supply is correct as Best Balloons cannot be held responsible for any failed deliveries as a result.

By virtue of the Distance Selling Regulations once the goods have been despatched we are exempt from giving cancellation rights as the goods we are providing are perishable.

Should you wish to cancel your order before the goods have been despatched you may do so. However, depending on the status of your order, this may be subject to a cancellation fee.

BALLOONS, WEDDING & PARTY GOODS

We aim to process and despatch your order within 5 working days. If any item is out of stock we will despatch as soon as more stock is received. If this is more than a few days then we will contact you to advise of the situation.

If you require next day delivery then your order must be received before 2pm. Please make sure we can contact you on the number given in case an item ordered is out of stock. If we cannot contact you then we will make a suitable substitution.

Standard delivery charges are £3.99 for our 3 - 5 day service.

Next working day is available for £7.50 using our express service

Disposable helium tanks can only be delivered by our Courier so the Express Service delivery costs are applicable for these. If you would like this delivered nest day then please show this as the delivery date. Any other date entered will be taken as a date required by. Leaving the date as the default will be read as "as soon as possible" and will be despatched within 2 - 3 days.

Credit Card Security All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software when the order is placed using 128 bit secure socket layer encryption (SSL). This information is only decrypted after they reach our computer and it is never held on any computer or web site in clear text.

Once decrypted all orders are processed by Barclays Merchant Services.

Please never send your card details to us in an e-mail as this is not a guaranteed to be a secure method of passing this information.

Returns Policy
HELIUM FILLED BALLOONS: Refunds will only be issued for damaged goods or goods which have been lost in transit. If the package arrives late (the following day) a refund of £5 will be given with regards to the postage cost.

If upon arrival the balloons is damaged, we must receive notification in writing within 5 days of the balloon being despatched. All packing and contents must then be returned to us within 7 days, failure to do so may result in the claim being rejected.

FLAT PACKED BALLOONS & PARTY ITEMS: In accordance with the Distance Selling Directive you may cancel your order at any time within 7 workings days of delivery. Should you wish to cancel your order and receive a refund, you must confirm this in writing (e-mail is fine) within 7 days of receipt and return the packaged item to us at the address above within 28 days:

The items must be returned to us unused and in as new condition. You will be liable for all postage costs incurred as a result of returning any items to us. No refunds will be issued until we have received the goods. We recommend you obtain proof of posting when you return any items to us.

No responsibility will be accepted for any goods that are received late when standard postage has been chosen. Goods can still be returned to us in perfect condition but you will be liable for all postage costs.

Personalised & made to order items are non-returnable.

Refunds on non-stock items are at the discretion of the supplier.
